Michelle Easley has served as a teacher and as a media specialist at all levels, elementary, middle, and high school. Michelle coordinated media programs for schools on all military bases – Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard and Navy, in the United States, Cuba and Puerto Rico for the Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools operated by the Department of Defense Education Activity.
Easley serves in a leadership capacity for a major school system in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a past president of the Georgia Library Media Association. She is the author of “How to Increase Diversity in School Library Collections and Programs.”
Michelle is a national presenter. She blogged for the American Association of School Librarians’ Knowledge Quest. She is the author of several articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
Michelle is an ISTE certified educator. She is also a member of the American Association of School Librarians Presidential Task Force on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. She is a member of the Georgia Library Learning Online (GALILEO) Steering Committee.
